Thank you everyone for an amazing day of community service on Jan 15, 2018, and all of the work you all did to make it possible. Here's a rough count and description of what we planted yesterday: - 32 trees, including: 3 valley oaks, 6 silver lindens, 12 fruit trees, manzanita, parrotia, scarlet oak, catalina ironwood, redbud, elderberry, and a silk oak tassel. - 90 large shrubs, including: almost 50 ceanothus, carolina laurel cherry, several native cherries, coffeeberry, currant, mountain mahogany, and smaller manzanitas. - Numerous other native and edible plants, including: salvias, honeysuckle vines, redberry, - serviceberry, wild grape, blueberries, gooseberries, kiwi (two female and one male), lemonade berry, sugar bush. More plants and community engagement will come over the coming months and years. Thank you again for everything you all contributed to make this day and all it represents possible!
